Bespoke Animal Portraits

I offer a limited number of bespoke animal portraits, created with a soft, painterly approach that focuses on character, light, and presence rather than highly detailed realism.

Each piece is carefully developed from your photographs. For the best result, clear, well-lit images are essential - particularly for capturing the true likeness and personality of your animal. I’m happy to work from multiple photos and combine them sensitively to create a natural and balanced final painting.

The process is calm and considered, with the aim of creating something that feels both personal and timeless.

Portraits are approached in a loose, atmospheric oil style, with a subtle background to keep the focus on expression and presence.

Sizes & Pricing:

Small (approx. 10 x 8”) - £450

Medium (approx. 16 x 12”) -£750

Large (approx. 20 x 16”) - £1,150

Bird Commissions

A more delicate and expressive approach, suited to smaller studies.

Size (21 x 30 cm):

Watercolour - £180

Gouache on Sepia paper - £180

Oil -£250

Timing & Booking

Pet portraits: please allow 6-8 weeks from booking to completion.

Bird commissions: please allow up to 4 weeks.

A 30% deposit is required to secure your commission and reserve studio time. Work begins once this is received, with the remaining balance due on completion.

Paintings are supplied unframed unless otherwise agreed.
